Who is Jane Arnett when they aren't working?

Now that I have your attention, hey! It's nice to meet you. 

 

My name is Jane Arnett and I'm the past co-coach of the Calgary Lightning Quadball (formerly known as quidditch) team. Nowadays, you can find me improving my cosplays or learning new graphic design skills!  

 

One of the things I won't stop talking about are my pets, and yes they are pandemic pets! I have one incredibly sassy, needy black cat named Nym and a very oversized ball of fur filled with anxiety named Pickles. Pickles does love coming to the office with me and rarely lets me out of his sight, he is quick to warm up to people if they have treats to offer!

What was my life like before UI Design? Well, before I moved to Calgary I used to live in Toronto working as a Lead Coffee Roaster. After a decade in the coffee industry I felt it was time for a change and to connect back to my artistic roots so I took a 3 month UI bootcamp. After I graduated I started to look for jobs in Calgary so I could be closer to my sister and the mountains. When not at work, you can find me camping, hiking or skiing throughout the year!
